I’m Dreaming of a Blue Christmas

I know, it’s supposed to be white Christmas.  Right?

But there are so many people who are sad around Christmas.  Maybe they are lonely or feel hopeless.  Or maybe they lost someone special and this time of year brings back those memories.  Or maybe there’s some other struggle they have with money or addiction or having a home.

This is a short post today to encourage you to think of those who might be sad this Holiday.  Share with them a hug, a smile, a word of encouragement.  It might help to make their Christmas just a little less blue.

Therese Kay is an author and photographer residing in Massachusetts. She loves the contemplative practices of visio divina and contemplative photography. She often writes about and teaches them to others.

  1. Yes, great reminder. A reminder to offer compassion to those who might be sad, including ourselves. We don't have to measure up to anyone else's holiday shoulds.

And if we are feeling joy, then we can be especially grateful for our blessings.

    Thanks.
