Falling Off

I’m a fan of Cheryl Richardson.  I really enjoy her style and encouragement.  I read her newsletter almost every week and just read the one she has for this week.  With the theme of “sticking to it”, it certainly caught my attention.  With the new dietary restrictions I have, which are threatening to become even more restrictive, I need all the encouragement I can get to stick to it.

The sentence that stood out to me most is: “When you’re tempted to beat yourself up for falling off the path, choose kindness instead.”  Treating yourself with kindness, what a concept!!  I mean, really, I AM going to fall off the path – as will everyone who is trying to walk a narrow path.  Sorry for the bad news, in case you were under the delusion that you wouldn’t fall off the path….

So, anyways, be kind to yourself – and to anyone else who is walking a narrow path.  It’s hard to keep your footing!!

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog, because I came right over to yours and caught up. I know several people on that diet, and while I can imagine how tough it is when so much of our food has the forbidden ingredients, I will tell you that my friends who are on it say it has changed their lives. Lost weight, lowered cholesterol, increased energy, clearer thinking, and more. Think of all the extra energy you will have to take more photos! I would love that. I'm always so happy to see you back in blogworld.
