Excuses, Excuses, Excuses….
Yep, I want to do it. I really do. I really want to do it. But…
How many times do you say that to yourself? I know how many times that I say it! Too many. I want to keep up with my blog, but work is so hard and I’m so tired. I want to exercise but I don’t have equipment or time. I want to redo my bathroom but I don’t have the money. I want to have a clean house but I have too much stuff. I have too much stuff but I don’t know what to get rid of. Yeah, this is kind of like my BUT post, but here we are again. Why? Because there’s ALWAYS an excuse. And you can hide behind the excuses or you can do something about it and make it happen.
I’m trying to make it happen. What about you?

Welcome back! You sound busy! You are in transition now with your new job, and you probably need some time to adjust. As a teacher, I am faced with that every fall when I have to fit a full time job back into my full time life. It takes me awhile to get back to the laundry and other things.
As for the things you want to do or really need to do, someone gave me this tip last fall. If you do something for 1 1/2 minutes, the "inertia" will often carry you forward. So if there is something I want to do or need to do, I tell myself that I will just do it for 1 1/2 minutes and if I want to stop after that, I'll stop.
So, for example, if I want to exercise, I only commit to 1 1/2 minutes. That is not much of an interruption in whatever else I'm doing, or not doing. It's true that once I've started it is then easier to continue.
But really, giving yourself a break right now and letting the nonessentials go, might give you some time to adjust and reorder your energy and time.
That was the unselfish me talking. The selfish me wants you posting your exquisite photos and writing your inspiring words as often as before!
Trying to make it happen is my middle name!! (rather long, ain't it?) LOL. Anyway, glad to see you're blogging again. I really love that picture of the dog catching the frisbee. Something about it makes me very happy. Let's keep up the keeping up. 🙂
Missing your posts and photos. Hope everything is going well.
OK, OK, you got me!! 🙂 The good news? Last week I was busy with a photoshoot! and this week I had no internet connection but it was resolved today with a replacement modem. Yay! But, hopefully I just met your posting fix! 🙂 Thanks for the nudge, Galen! 🙂
